Morgan's Rock Hacienda & Ecolodge is the first ecolodge on the Pacific Coast of Nicaragua in the middle of a 2,000-hectare property which includes a 1,100-hectare reforestation area with tropical precious woods, a 800-hectare private nature reserve and a large natural sanctuary.
The conservation of this area has permitted to preserve the habitat of the animals living in this region and it has been enlarged with the plantation of 1.5 million trees over the past ten years.
These reforested lands, together with the nature reserve and the estuary, host a variety of animals such as howler, spider and capuchin monkeys, sloths, white tipped deer, other mammals and reptiles as well as many native or migrant birds.The 15 bungalows overlook the ocean and were built with local wood.
