Desert Lodge

The Eco Lodge is built in the traditional style of the local architecture and is situated in Dakhla overlooking the unique village of Al Qasr and the distant sand dunes of the Sahara desert.

The entire construction of the Lodge has been carried out by local craftsmen, only local and natural materials have been used. Tap water is filtered with Hi-tech-filters and offered in glass bottles for drinking purposes (to reduce the huge amount of waste of PET-bottles and minimize transportation cost). The Eco lodge energy runs on hydro electrical and solar systems. Bed linen and all materials in are made of 100% cotton, grown in Egypt. There is a small garden that grows organic vegetables.
